 The PGI maintains a
private electronic mailing list for discussion of PGI business. It is also the
official method for the PGI board to disseminate time-sensitive news items and
instruction. The PGI Mailing List is for current PGI members only. To
join, go to
http://www.accelix.net/mailman/listinfo/pgi, fill in the requested
information under "Subscribing to PGI," and click the "Subscribe" button.
The list administrator, Mark Buda, will confirm your PGI membership and add you to the distribution list.
After you are subscribed, you can alter your settings by going to the website at: http://www.accelix.net/mailman/listinfo/pgi
After joining the PGI Mailing List, you will get a "digest" of all the posts for the day sent daily around midnight. On days of high traffic, you might get 2 or more digests for the same day. If you would prefer to receive the postings as they are submitted, you can modify your settings at: http://www.accelix.net/mailman/listinfo/pgi
Pyrotechnic related discussions are best suited for the non-PGI managed Pyrotechnics Mailing List (PML) and rec.pyrotechnics.
To join the PML, send an email with your name and short description of your pyro experience to pml-request@kclo3-.com. Because it is a subscription based system, the PML is usually focused on serious pyrotechnic discussion. The PML's web site is at: http://www.accelix.net/mailman/listinfo/pml.
rec.pyrotechnics is a USENET News based discussion group, which is easily accessed via Google Groups. You do not need to subscribe and you can search all past discussions. Because this is an open forum, there tends to be more chatter. But some good info can be found using the search features and many knowledgeable pyrotechnicians partake in the discussion.
